“Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.” Colossians 3:11, ESV
Thanks for stopping by. Colossians311.com is a brand new site set up for a discussion group on racial reconciliation that meets on the first Sunday evening of every month at Crossings Community Church, 144600 North Portland Ave., in Oklahoma City.
The group began as an Apprentice spiritual formation group and stayed together after its initial two years of study. The verse, Col. 3:11, is a central focus of the Apprentice program and reflects the Lord’s desire that His people live lives free from prejudice, working toward the time when, as the verse says, Christ will be all and in all. Clearly our culture has a long way to go, but it is our hope that our conversations, in some small way, may be able to contribute to the long-overdue reconciliation of the races.
For now, we will post information regarding meetings and activities. We will soon be asking members and guests to write about their experiences with racial identity and its impact on their lives. As we share our stories, we will discover common ground.
Check back often and keep the conversation going.
